I am interested in learning how to make video games. I am curious to know, if there is anybody who might be willing to teach me the basics. Weather it is a good start to learn the basics of coding, or another method that would be a better starting point.

When I was running an afterschool club to teach the beginnings of game dev I used to use Scratch which is a block based game designer which removes the need initially to learn a particular language. I highly recommend getting started with it at: https://scratch.mit.edu/
