REQUEST: Food (organic preferred) — Any food / ingredients with which to make food welcome. Especially organic/local/non gmo.
REQUEST: Medicinal/culinary herbs — I'll accept pretty much anything, fresh or dried as long as it's been grown using organic practices or ethically wildharvested in places they don't spray. I make medicinal tinctures/oils/salves etc. and I also cook a lot.
REQUEST: Bones (for making stock/bone broth) — Don’t throw throw those bones away, give them to me! Totally ok if they have come in contact with your mouth, as they will be boiled. Chicken bones, turkey bones, duck bones, beef bones, pig bones, sheep bones, goat bones... basically any “meat animal” bones except fish. Can be kept in the freezer until you are ready to part with them.
REQUEST: Childcare/babysitting for a 5 yr old girl — Asking for a friend in the Eugene area.
REQUEST: Help fixing my dehydrator — It's a rectangular dehydrator with pull-out trays. It makes a loud sound when turned on (it didn’t used to be that loud) and I feel like the fan doesn't blow air as efficiently as it could... it may need to be taken apart so we can get to its insides. I don’t know barely anything about this kind of machinery. I have sewing machine oil to lube up its internal parts, but beyond that I don't know what to do for it. I also don’t know how to take it apart. I have various types and sizes of screwdrivers, pliers... but if you have any tools you think would be helpful, please being them. Thanks!! It would be so great to get it functioning properly again. I would rather fix the one I have than try to get a new one.
REQUEST: Freezer — Chest freezer would be ideal, but will accept any kind, any size.
REQUEST: Blender — Ideally I want a Vitamix or Blendtec, but will accept any functional blender.
REQUEST: Food Processor — I have a tiny one that can do some basic stuff, but I would like a larger one that can handle bigger food projects.
REQUEST: Plastic tub — The kind you can do dishes in or soak your feet in. Must be able to hold hot water.
REQUEST: Lamp or other indoor lights — A tall floor lamp would be ideal but any kind of desk lamp will do. Or hanging lantern, or christmas lights. My creative space needs better lighting.
REQUEST: Bicycle — Ideally one that fits a tall guy. My partner’s bike recently got stolen. We don't have a car.
Use of our color printer/scanner — You may use our equipment for small printing jobs (under 20 pages). Our printer/scanner does both color an B&W.
Parsley (dried, culinary) — Organic, from Mountain Rose Herbs. We have a lot more than we will use and would love to share! Have about 2 cups to offer.
Basic Guitar Instruction — Come on over! I can teach basic chords, tuning, and point beginners toward good online resources to continue their guitar learning journeys. I have three guitars, so you don't need to have your own necessarily. I will probably also offer you tea. Happy to teach teens and kids as well as adults.
Hawthorn Leaf — Dried. A little old, but still good. Organic. From Mountain Rose Herbs. Good medicine for the heart. I have roughly 4 cups available.
Organic chia seeds — I have about 9 lbs available. Take as much as you want.
